Ok... this is the first fantasy game, computer game, any kind of thing like this I've ever tried... so I'm probably missing something really obvious. I just wanted to say that in advance, so you don't think I'm a total idiot after reading the whole message.

I've been to everywhere I can think of - the hut, the soothsayer, the tower, the fortress, the volcano, the gardens, the enchanted forest, the river and that place you ride the boat to, the store, the cave, the ocean. I've tried all the options I can come up with at least fifteen times. I've caught the fish, gotten the Pass Ring from the soothsayer, gotten the spell from the sorcerer, gotten into the tower, and given the fish to the gnome, and done a lot of other things that didn't actually achieve anything as far as I could tell.

Considering that I'm posting this here, you can probably figure out that I'm stuck. Please help me out, even if I've unknowingly done something stupid. I've been trying to do this on my own, but I'm just not coming up with anything.
