Yes, I got the rod from the pool on level 9. To tell the truth, I just got to Lyesis. I didn't care about going there until I wanted to fight the Leviathan. I reached Teralt a week ago. I'm still searching for the way to level 10. I suspect it may be a chute somewhere.
