Is there a spell like the Wizard Spell PROTECT, but that gives protection of better than +4 AC?

Resistance to cold, fire and poison can't be gained by using your points, right? You have to level up to get those?

I realise that it sounds from my previous message that I've jumped straight from Level 4 to Level 8... a few people pointed that out.

Actually, no. I've explored Levels 5, 6, and 7 semi-thoroughly (enough to satisfy me, anyway), and find the monsters on Level 7 a breeze.

For some reason, the monsters on Level 8 seem about double the difficulty of Level 7, so I'm making numerous runs to the Storage Area to help my characters level up and get money, before trying Level 8 again. Then I'm going to find the bronze key.
