Stuck in beginning of GOA

I'm lost in Game Of Ages. I can't do anything else. I have:

Diving Mask
Free Trial Sword of Failing
Magic Armor of Magic
Pick
Ticket
Key of Questioning
Life Preserver
Food Rations

I've read a lot of posts that said something about a Dead Fish in the well and the many choices and selecting them repeatedly. When I went down there I only had three choices and nothing happened when I selected them repeatedly. Without the Dead Fish I can't get the bucket (I believe). How do I get it?! Am I missing an item that I need to get it?
