What *should* happen, not that I've tested it, is that it'll lengthen the filename to make room for the extra digit.
The only reason there are leading zeroes at all is so that the filenames are sorted chronologically when they are sorted alphabetically. I didn't think it was worth having eight digits, though, even if someone got up that high.
