Yes, the pools magically replenish if you leave the level (they might even do that when you go to town, but I'm not sure).
I must have looted that pool on level 8 dozens of times. There's also a pool on level 9, but I'm not going to tell you where.
My party now has about 1.1 million gold. Sooner or later I'll be able to venture to level 10...
