It was surprisingly frustrating starting with 3 SP, 5 HP and no group damage spells. Imagine running into four Slime Blobs, and knowing there's no possible way you can kill them, even if they never hit you. It was several levels before I finally got SPARKS.

The most interesting thing aboot using only spells is that you have to go back to Perinn and rest at the Inn to be able to attack more. With a lone Assassin, I could keep fighting monsters forever, as long as they couldn't hit me. I never ran out of swords or anything. On the other hand, it's nice to know that whenever you cast FIREBALL you'll hit for two or more. My fighters would always miss most of their attacks starting out.

Oddly enough, Lady Abelha of Spelling seems to run out of SP long before she runs out of HP. She's only died once since level 0, and it was entirely avoidable. I expect this may change at some point, but for now I don't think I can be bothered to cast DISARM at every opportunity.

I think her name is cute. She's a spelling bee.
