Plus, if you retrain casters as fighters and vice versa, they'll still remember all their spells and keep their SP.

If you have Sorcerer #36, you could definitely take a run at level 9. Wizard 36 will come in handy eventually, too. As I keep saying, there's only one way to find out. Go to level 9 and see who dies - you or them.
