Murkon's Refuge: stupid question

I've actually been quiet since I'm trying to prepare myself for final exams in a few months. But I do find some time on weekends to play. But I do once again have my stupid question of the day. Is it common for rogues to level up faster than all the rest? My party is part level 14 and part level 15. My rogue is level 17 and is going to be level 18 before everyone is level 15 or 16. I just wanted to make sure that is was common because I don't want a weird one in my group.
