Fortunately you don't need that key till you're strong enough to survive on level 10. Stay off of 10 till your poor Druid has more HP, and try to give him some armour that's resistant to heat or cold or whatever keeps killing him.
Do you really think Sam would make you fight your way all the way back from Teralt to level 5, once you've gotten to level 10?
