Ah yes, my signature bat.

That developed in Yahoo! chat, where I chat as commie_bat (among other sns). In yahoo, the :) parses as a little yellow happy face, and the ^v^ on either side look like bat wings. FB stands for First Bat, since I am First Bat of the commie party. For some reason, lots of other people wanted to be commie_animals, and I am their leader. Yes, the title is Hobbesian (as in Calvin & Hobbes).
