Mmmm. Honestly, you should be fine on level seven, if you manage to dodge most of the fights there. You should be able to get through with only two fights-- head as far west as you can go, then spell your way out of there.

Or, you could gain yourself a couple levels, sure. Make pool runs on level five. They're close to the entrance and you get five encounters minimum on the way there. You get a good profit from them, too, of course.
