Well I'm not going to give you step by step because that would be really ruining the game for you.

a.) If I remember correctly, you can get a map of the garden somewhere in the game.

b.) there are some parts in the garden where you can "see" where you are supposed to go.

But I still highly reccommend making your own map. Its not that hard. That way you can mark the things that you feel are important. Other peoples own personal maps may confuse you.
