Cats, gnomes, and passwords in Fantasy Quest...HELP!

I am SOOO stuck! I finally killed the wood sprite (got rid of my sword..grrr..), and now I have some questions.

1.) How do I get my sword back?

2.) How do I get past the cat in the gardens? NOTHING I try will work.

3.) I know the gnome needs food, but where do I have to fish to get it? I've tried EVERYWHERE?

4.) I got "Peanut Butter" and "Jello Bath" off the trees in the forest. But neither will open the crack in the tower? How do I get in?
