Fantasy Quest is NOT my Fortress!

OK, I just started this one, and I have two questions.

1) How do I get inside the fortress?

and

2) How do I get past the chasm?

If it helps, here is my inventory:

* Sack
* Silver Coin
* Rope
* Branch
* Silver Key
* Sword
* Diamond
* Shovel
* Hammer
* Bow
* Arrow
* Club
