Stuck in Brackly.. HELP!

Ok, I've been doing pretty good on my own so far. I've got the cogwheel. I opened the display case and read the book. Where is this "sphynx?" and, how do I let the magpie out of it's cage, since I know I need to. I've also been all over the maze, how do I break through that wall? HELP!
