GOA can't get crate back and don't have hammer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

i used the crate to get out of the basement in the shack and now it won't let me go back down there to get it!!! i still don't have the hammer and i've read that i need the crate to get it. am i screwed or can i fix it? PLEASE HELP.

My Inventory:
26 bronze coins
Guard's Sword
Tinderbox
Wire Clippers
Clear focus stone
9 Red gemstones
Stone of Strengthening
Sticks
Key of Opening
Piece of Trash
1 Black gemstone
Food Rations
String
Portrait
