TOA: Bus, help please!

Ok, I have gotten the nerds into the promise land, gotten the "gun" from them, completed all the professeurs tasks, and Silus and Verna are watching the bus. I've tried approaching the bus but Verna won't let me. I'm really not sure what to do. I've tried searching for the overpass but can't seem to find it. Here's my inventory:
