The easiest thing to do is as follows:

1. Make sure you save your main page as "index.html"

2. Upload that to your main Tripod directory. This will make it so that typing http://spiffydoodles.tripod.com will take visitors directly to that main page.

3. If you really want that extra "/spiffydoodles" (sub-directory) part, upload the "index.html" file to that directory. Tip: Make sure that you still have a directory (aka folder) called "spiffydoodles" within your main Tripod account.
