DAH! Stuck in GOA in the Begining.... feel like an idiot...

As stated above I'm stuck in the Game of the Ages. I've rooted around in my house, the lake, the opposite shore, and the shops. And I can't DO anything else! I have:
384 Silver Coins of Wealth
Free Trial Sword of Failing
Life Preserver
Diving Mask
Ticket
Food Rations
I hate to sound helpless if I already haven't but HELP!
