GOA stuck in Llagimlyn

Ok, I dunno if I screwed myself into the ground with this, but... I left the crate in the shack (in Llagimlyn) in the basement, when I was on my way out - and now I can't get the hammer from the stables (too short). HELP! How do I get my crate back??? It won't let me go into the basement anymore.
