If you want to go back in time, go to Molokai, where it's still 1920. Too far? Well, there are still some real nice, beautiful farming communities in the U.S. where it's still 1950 or so. I can think of a bunch here in Tennessee. And there is always Cades Cove in the Smokies which is a 100 year trip back in time.
I'm sure other countries have isolated places like that where time seems to be in low gear. I tend to look for them.
