on GOA..quite stuck

I must be stupid, but I got into Larosis and had Beldaro put a wizard's dot on my forehead and now I can't get back into the city. I can't get past the wraith either, so I don't know what to do.

This is what I have
Diving Mask
Pick
Life Preserver
Dead Fish
Broken Free Trial Sword of Failing
Ticket
Stone of Strengthening
Bucket
Magic Armor of Magic
Key of Questioning
Food Rations
Rope

I haven't the foggiest idea what to do next, could somebody help me out?
