Well, ok, this board isn't about that kind of stuff, but this place has the most socially-apt technical persons I've seen.

We just got DSL - GAH! I wanted cable! - and we have one itty bity problem, namely, our ethernet card is full. we've got a network... So we thought we could just plug it into the hub. Tech support guy that I called (He's worth a computer stupidity entry) said Sympatico won't support us if we do.

So, anyway, the question is, how do I get the computer to go out and find the stupid DSL modem? (On a mac, I mean) Or should it just magically work if I plug it into the hub?


Arg. If only they'd gotten the USB model.
