OK, I guess "scooter-ish" is acceptable but pul-eeeeze don't call that thing a scooter. Yes, it's two wheels and has a T-handle, but so do some bicycles and motorcycle. You wouldn't call them a scooter, would you? Scooters are beautiful to look at, they sound like music, and they are really fun to ride. You can go all day on a gallon of gas. The Segway is almost silent, runs on batteries, looks like an outdated lawn mower, and it's so easy to ride, you forget you are riding. And the wheels are side-by-side! You can't seriously call that a scooter. If the battery goes dead suddenly you would probable fall on your face. Real scooters sometimes lose power suddenly, but you just coast to a stop. Yes, I'd like to try a Segway. But for that much money, I can buy a really nice vintage Cushman scooter. A real scooter. Howard
