We were just burgled. While we were in the front room watching the TV, someone walked in through our back door and stole a bag from the kitchen. It had credit cards and keys and cash and the usual stuff in. We'll probably find most of it tomorrow morning, thrown over someone's back fence or into a bush. The cards have been cancelled, the locks double-bolted, and the police have just left after filing a report and not drinking any tea. Ordinarily, you'd think that this sort of thing, being broken into WHILE YOU'RE IN THE NEXT ROOM, would have made me feel vulnerable or something. It didn't. Weird, that.
