The only British humor we have access to here in the states is usually on Public Broadcast TV (PBS). Or down at the local Suncoast Video store on VHS tapes for $20 a pop.
I suppose almost everyone has seen, or at least heard of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. But that's about all the M.P. I've been exposed to, other than a video recording of one of the Flying Circus shows I saw once. ("I'm a lumberjack and I'm O.K...") The naked organ player scared me a little.
I have seen bits and pieces of Fawlty Towers, and I liked it. Other than that, the only other British humor I've seen has been Benny Hill (I am very thankful they do not air it any more), Are You Being Served? (eh) and Keeping Up Appearances (it's okay, but seems very formulaic-- you've seen one ep, you've seen 'em all.)
I've heard of Red Dwarf, but never seen it. What else am I missing?
