My dog Dutchess has an interesting love-hate relationship with the vacuum cleaner. When I vacuum, she'll play-bow at it, as if wanting to play, and then go and hide in small places like behind the easy chairs and such. Once, I didn't notice she was back there when I started vacuuming, and when I pushed the vacuum in she LUNGED at it and actually bit at it hard enough to pull the hood off of the headlight-thing.
Of course, Dutchess also will chase sunbeams and reflections or even flashlight beams across the floor for a LONG time, and be intensly frustrated that she can't catch them...
