There aren't many ways you can mangle "Amanda." I honestly don't mind being called "Mandy" (although no one ever does), 'Manda is fine (for my nephew, at least).. The only possibility I can think of for a mixup is Miranda, and that's never happened to me.

I get all kinds of stuff for Ria, though. Rai and Ri I like. Ra, Rio, Air I don't. I've never gotten "IRA" though. ;P And no, "Ria" does not come from Maria or Victoria or anything such. It stands alone. :P

As for the pronunciation of that, my friends and I battle over it.. And my friends do as well. I say both ree-uh and rye-uh, but some friends so adamantly like one pronunciation that they fight for it. Considering it's an alias, it doesn't matter to me. ;)
