I'm not going to give my actual surname on the Internet, but what I will do is tell you what it isn't. Brian, Bryan, O'Brien, Brain, Breen...there is practically no limit to how many ways you can spell that or say it. Particularly when booking things over the phone, or getting letters from people who have only heard your name over the phone, you can get such a huge variety. Another of my pet hates is people who put a second "l" in my name. No, it's Philip B***n, not Phillip Bryan, for goodness' sakes. Oh yes, did I mention my uncle? His name is Fraser, and he gets called Frasier so often, it really annoys him. What is so strange is that, being a radio DJ, people hear his name all the time and still don't twig that there is no "i" in there. Ah well, ranting over now.
