The British media is mostly anti-Euro, and I rarely listen to what politicians say, so I'm not entirely sure what the pro arguments are. I'll look into it, and get back to you. Unless julian (or other pro-European) cares to do it for me...

Privatised currency has worked well in the past, and, I personally think, should be instigated. The small amount of confusion would be more than equalled by the competition between currencies.
