But I'm pretty sick of the 4-wheel ghetto blaster syndrome that subjects me, at frequent intervals and often in the comfort of my own apartment, to a barrage of THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP and so on. To hear some actual rock 'n roll instead was a sweet relief. There's probably a statement about the decline of Western culture in there somewhere, but I don't know what it is. :-)

My brother and I do that - or did, last year, frequently. That and jazz. I recently found out that OneStaple and his brother do the same thing. Course, none of us are driving through SW DC doing so.... but it's fun.

The other day, it was gorgeous outside, and I was driving - where WAS I Going? Church. Yes, church... but anyway, I had the windows down, and was switching around from rock to country to classical and back. At one point, I hit a red light right next to a bus stop in front of a school that a couple of my friends go to, and there were a bunch of kids at the bus stop, so I was checking the crowd out for Fabe and Jon. I happened to have classical on - and neither of my friends were there.

I can just imagine what was going through those guys heads. "Some chick was checking us out.... and she was blasting classical!"
