Either the from field on your e-mail has your real name and I don't recognize it (I'd recognize Wolfspirit), or it's got FW:, multiple RE:s, or "falseaddress" in the subject line (or the subject line is something like "Hi!").
Those last few generally get deleted.
And yes, I do have a serious correspondance e-mail address. [any name] at symbol thesnakefarm.com will get to me (unless you use my wife's name, in which case she'll get it).
However, I do check the falseaddress@hotmail.com account quite often. Usually, it's just spam. (I also use it when I'm at a site that requires me to divulge my e-mail address when I know they're just going to use that to spam me.)
