I was a mellow, well-behaved kid, but even I remember doing the aim-aerosol-hairspray-at-a-flaming-cigarette-lighter thing with a friend when we were eight.. I also remember thinking that my mom would kill me if she knew what we were doing. That's another thing that she never found about.
