Simular story for me: Anyone ever heard of those "webquest" things? Teachers print out a pack of work for each student. Included with the pack is a web address. The student must go to that web address and complete the pack of work using information that they find on the internet.

Anyway, our school doesn't have any filter programs on our school computers, but when I take the project home to work on...

Let's just put it this way, I'm glad I don't have AOL anymore. Every website that had ANYTHING AT ALL to do with the 'quest was blocked in one way or another! Even the webquest's website was blocked!

Luckily, I don't have AOL anymore.

Yes, this is more of an "AOL" issue that a "web-filter" issue, but either way, many important websites are blocked - even the ones recomended by our school system's teachers!
