Ok, here's the final days.....

Friday

Not too much happened this day. Leen and I watched ER, which she had taped the night before. Then we went back out to Portsmouth to do a little more shopping. :)

That night we went out to eat at Olive Garden, and then came back home to watch yet another movie. Problem is, I can't remember which one... Sam, perhaps you could help???

Saturday

This was trip day! hehe. First we went to Leen's parents house to drop of Lady for the day, then we headed out to Canobie Lake Park. It was so much fun! We rode all the roller coasters, and some of the rides.

The funniest part of the day was when we rode the log flumes, otherwise known as the water rides. Now to me, a semi-southerner, it was way too cold to be on these, but in New Hampshire it seemed to be the right time. Hehe. The first one we just got splashed on. But the second one soaked us. We were even wearing coats, it was so cold. So, for the rest of the day we were wet and cold! But, it was a blast, so I didn't care. :)

That night we watched Mute Witness, which was a very good thriller movie. I enjoyed it.

Sunday

I got up, and having said our goodbyes last night, I left at 6:50 a.m. The trip was long. 15 hours to be exact. And here are my thoughts on it:

First of all, I did do the good daughter thing. I called my mom from Massachusetts to wish her a happy Mother's Day. She was pretty happy about that.

I got through all 6 toll booths smoothly, so I'm no longer afraid of them. Hehe. Since I drove straight through, I experienced everything all at once. New York was the longest state I've ever driven through. I never thought I'd get out of it.

Overall, the drive was smooth. I did notice an odd thing that I thought I'd share. In most states this is how it goes: a line of traffic going the speed limit is usually in the right lane, and then occasionally a few cars pass on the left going maybe 10 miles over the speed limit or so. But, it seems, in Ohio we do it a little different. There is a line of cars on the left all going around 80, and then a few cars pass them on the right doing 90. We all just ignore the speed limit together. hehe. At least this is how it was when I first got into Ohio. I'm sure it's not always this way, but it did strike me as odd that it went on like that for a while.

Another thing I saw were license plates. Of course you're going to see a ton of weird ones out there, but I saw the weirdest. It was "KAL GRL". Now, I suppose (and really hope) that it could mean something else, but I think that it's pretty obvious how it could be taken. Definitely not something I'd put on my license.

Anyway, I got home almost an hour earlier than I expected, so I got to see my mom still awake and all. And I got to let my sister and mother try Moxie. They hated it, just as I expected. hehe. Oh well, more for me.

That's it. The trip is over, and I'm getting caught up on all the stuff I have left to do at home. Thanks to Sam, Leen, Lady, Darien, Minamoon, and Speedball for letting me come out and visit. Can't wait to see you all again! :)
