Although I haven't been kidnapped as of yet, I try to not walk alone at all at night while at school. Since 2 coeds were kidnapped and murdered last year (and one in '96 who still hasn't been found), I'm afraid to walk alone, even in a quiet town such as San Luis Obispo. After the two girls were found buried in some criminal's backyard last year, campus security has increased. There are these new blue phones lit up around campus for anyone to report anything suspicious or if they need police security. We also have the "Take back the Night" protests. I have never participated, only seen the hundreds of people on TV.
