Hehe. Actually I do remember reading a review of Thief that lamented the lack of multi-player support, "which in this day and age is a necessity for almost any game". However, they *did* at least acknowledge the fact that they didn't have any idea how a multi-player game of Thief would work. "It wouldn't be much fun to be the guards, standing around doing nothing for five minutes then suddenly getting whacked in the head with a blackjack and ending your session." I don't think the reviewer had the gall to withold an unconditional recommendation of the game based on the fact that it did not support multi-player, but he did at least mention it. Gah.
