Filing it with the file yields `You cut away at the padlock for a few minutes, watching as tiny flakes of metal peel away from the side of the padlock. It's no use -- the padlock is simply too thick.' and changes nothing. I cannot apply anything but the file to the padlock (and I can try prying the door, but that doesn't work too) and, frankly, can't see what I could try to apply.

Am I missing something obvious?
