> So THAT'S what the inscription meant. Thanks. Unfortunately I'm stuck again on the third floor now. I cannot for the life of me see a way to make these weights balance. I've figured out all the relative weights of the objects, and as far as I can tell there is only one combination of even weight you can split them into. But with that combination one set is too heavy for the scale. Please help!

First off, if you're really stuck... I don't think you actually have to balance the weights to beat the preview.

You do have all the figurines you need. I re-did the math from my notes, and it is doable.

The two scales don't have to hold exactly the same amount of weight, but they'll be pretty close - like 4 frogs' worth difference.

If you're loading one scale beyond capacity, then that's way too big a difference. Don't use both whales on the same scale.
