Starlight: Middle of the night, can't find light

Hola,

Here's my inventory:
5 Mana Mushrooms
Busted Flute
Fancy Clothes
Iron Mace
Black Boots
Chain Mail
Glass Vial
Secret Book

I have Harfax following me around and I can't find a light source and I've been around a few times. I have the spell for light if I were able to get healed I could use it. I've visited the place with the luminescent plant, but it tells me that any movement messes with the light from the plant.

I've asked a few people for their light sources, but they refuse to hand them over. Any help appreciated :)
