You have something missing in your inventory. Are you on the second floor? If so you need to find your way out. Try different things. Go back to the cave and look for something valuable. You know how the store works by now. You can't enter the top of the tower without it. While you are at it give the gold coins to the soothsayer because she gives hints you need. Good luck
