Seemingly stuck on FQ2. Help?

My inventory:

7 Onions
Sack
Small silver coin
Silver Key

Crown of Destiny
Float ring
Sap Tap
Bucket of Sap

Cross
Coconut
Pliers
Iron Support

Red Potion
Green Potion
Bottle of Liquor
Sword
Sunstone

I've been back to the iron gate but can't do anything, and I'm fairly sure I've been all through the flower gardens and the Enchanted Forest. The tower doesn't want anything I have. Any help is appreciated!
