I'm not sure where you are. There is only one place on my map that uses the word "Cavern". Is it North of the Large Chamber with orange,purple, black, yellow, brown,,,, stuff? If it is you need to choose certain options. Try
"Look" examine everything. Have you got the stone from the witch yet? You need to do those things before you can go North then West. Work the options that are given to you. I hope this helps.
