> #3 Arawn verus Issachar - A battle of two players with three titles between them is always worth watching. Arawn's on a roll, but will be fighting from the bottom of the standings from here on out. Issachar's been sitting at #1 for a while, but this looks like a much bigger test than the last couple of victims.

Well, I tried. I anticipated that arawn would ignore my Air monster (he had defense bonuses vs. Air), and that among the remaining two, he'd double-team whichever was listed first, which has been his pattern in previous battles. So I pumped up Hits and Defense on the guy I expected to take the biggest initial beating, and pumped up attack power on the guys I thought would have more time to stay in the battle and inflict damage.

And it *almost* worked, kind of.

The only thing I guessed wrong was which two of arawn's monsters would be double-teaming me first; I wanted to take out one of them first, to buy my punching-bag monster just a little more time to get in a lick or two. But even if I had guessed right on that count, I don't think it would have saved me. I lost this match through poor spending choices in the previous one.

Congrats to arawn, who is one tough customer as an opponent. Also, condolences to alex -- it stinks to have to lose because you couldn't get online.
