I got intimidated a few months ago after suffering three straight defeats, and took a break. Then I saw that this month was MA 40 and thought, hey, that's a cool milestone, why not give it another go? I don't think I can beat alexfrog, but it'll be fun to try.

I wonder how many MA'ers actually crunch the numbers to figure out the optimal upgrade path for each match. I just go with a gut feeling and try to follow a few sound principles. I have no idea how alexfrog and other top battlers work their mojo, but it would be cool to find out. Not for the sake of exploiting that knowledge, but just 'cause it would be interesting to hear.

On a different note: weirdly, this is my first RinkPost of 2007. Bad Rinkie! Bad!
