You can depend on them being overtightened. My son has a solution. He needed tires on his car, so he took the wheels off leaving the car on jackstands. Then he tossed the wheels into his truck and went down to the tire store where he bought four new tires and had them mounted on the wheels and balanced. When he got home he put them on the car and torqued them to specs.
Too much trouble? Think about it.
