Long is better but we took a short vacation in the mountains over the weekend. We stayed in our daughter's cabin, and went to Dollywood three days in a row. New Record. On the third day we took grand daughter Tori, age 12. The festival of nations was in full swing and we took in shows from various nations.

The Peru show was best and Tori, who is half Peruvian, really enjoyed it. Some of the dance steps looked like they would be bruised and bleeding, but they came up smiling. They did the scissors dance, and all of the dancers had a large pair of scissors in their right hand and snipped in time with the music all the way through the performance.

Try to picture Edward Scissorhand in a tumbling competition and you will have the idea.

As usual, they had craft booths from all over the world.

We took the train ride up into the mountains, watched the magic show, and enjoyed all of that good Dollywood food.
