My bed has its own wall. It's one of those old fashioned oak beds with a 6-foot high headboard. I guess it's 80 or 90 years old. But with a headboard like that, it doesn't matter if there is a wall behind it or not.

It's also a very high bed. If I sit up and put my feet on the floor, I'm already standing up.
I've been sleeping in that old relic for about 35 years now. When I hit the hay in a hotel or on a ship, I feel like I'm sleeping on the floor.
