The Wii is the latest console video-gaming system from Nintendo. It was released for the holiday buying season, right around the same time as the new PlayStation 3.

It's been in the news a bit lately because of frequent mishaps that have been occurring related to the Wii's motion-detecting controller; overenthusiastic gamers have been accidentally hurling the controllers into TV screens, windows, etc., including one incident where a man accidentally gave his wife a black eye when she walked up to him while he was playing and he didn't see her.
